Triad’s legacy and expertise in amplifying long range, high data rate radio links has yielded many small and lightweight COTS BDAs that are simple to integrate, reliable, and rugged enough to pass any MIL-STD-810G test thrown at them. Our BDAs are the first choice for many radio system designs in applications where more RF power is required to create ultra-long range unmanned data links and other radio communications, and/or in applications that require the highest data throughput.

Typical applications for TRIAD RF/microwave and wireless radio bi-directional amplifiers (BDA) include:
Data Links – Intelligence, Surveillance, Recognizance (ISR)
Digital Video/High-Definition Broadcasting (DVB/HD)
Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) Power Amplifier
Radio Range Extenders
Satellite (SAT/SATCOM) Amplifier
Tactical Radio Systems
Tracking Antenna Amplification
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) & Counter UAS (C-UAS)
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV)
UAV Video Links
TRIAD BDAs are typically used in long-range UAV links, mesh networking, and military or commercial Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs). However, they are universally compatible with any radio system that transmits and receives any signal modulation - from simple FM to highly complex QAM OFDM modulation schemes passing hundreds of megabits per second to serve HD video, EO/IR, and other types or ISR missions.
Our BDA modules are also the smallest and lightest in the industry. They achieve high, linear RF power outputs, contain ultra-low noise Rx sections, and exhibit the best broadband operation, in a package size that is unmatched by other amplifier and microwave radio manufacturers. In addition, many of our modules include features such as a wide DC input supply range, a suite of RF power monitoring and control circuitry, built-in-test (BIT), and the ability to communicate status and exchange commands with the system or the radio itself.
