Triad RF has received a production order for the new TA1164-HS which operates from 900 to 6000 MHz with 20W peak power.  The RoHs compliant unit is used in semiconductor test systems for next generation wireless networking ICs. Both GaAs and GaN FETs were utilized to achieve the customer’s dual-use requirements for a low EVM, multi-octave BW amplifier that was also capable of higher power output for CW signals at saturation. In addition to the standard set of RF measurements, over 75 EVM measurements were taken per amplifier to ensure that the original test signal passing through the units was not distorted. A custom LabVIEW program and Triad-designed ATE setup was used to significantly reduce production test time.  Follow on  orders are expected Q4 of 2015 and Q2 2016.
