Triad RF delivers TA1151 in less than 3 weeks

Triad RF delivers the TA1151 in less than 3 weeks to a digital television broadcast manufacture for a 3 GHz DVB-T system. Utilizing the TA1025 platform, new multi-layer RF boards were designed, then assembled and tested within the 3 week window required by the customer. Over 1W of COFDM is provided by the 5W P1dB amplifier.

Triad RF ships the S-Band duel bi-directional TTRM1078D

Triad RF ships the TTRM1078D, an S-Band DUAL bi-directional amplifier operating from 2.2 to 2.5 GHz. The unit was designed to work with 2 x 2 MIMO radios and extend their coverage area with over 20 dB of TX gain and 10 dB of RX gain. Each amplifier produces 3 Watts of 802.11G power and over 12 Watts of 802.11B power. The unit has manual switching between TX and RX modes with switching times < 1 usec. The unit’s compact size measuring 4.0(L) x 4.2(W) x 0.8(H) inches allows for easy integration with the radio. Production of the TTRM1078D is expected in the second quarter of 2014. Other frequency bands from 400 MHz To 6 GHz will follow throughout 2014.

Triad RF ships the C-Band bi-directional TTRM1008

Triad RF ships the TTRM1008, a C-Band bi-directional amplifier operating from 4.4 to 5.0 GHz. The unit produces 5 Watts of 64 QAM power and over 25 Watts of QPSK power. The unit has manual switching between TX and RX modes with switching times < 1 usec. Switching and timing functions are controlled by a complex programmable logic device (CPLD), a first for Triad. Other functions such as alarms and LED signals are also controlled by the CPLD. The unit is also one of the smallest in the industry, measuring 5.3(L) x 3.7(W) x 0.57(H) inches. Production of the TTRM1008 is expected in the first quarter of 2014. A 5.8 GHz version will also follow in early 2014.

Triad RF ships the 300 Mhz 120 W TA1127 to India

Triad RF ships our new 120W, 300 MHz amplifier to a customer in India. The TA1127 will be implemented in a Software-defined Radio (SDR) platform whose end user is the Indian Navy. The units provide over 120 Watts and are 50% efficient at peak power across the 290 – 320 MHz frequency band. They also incorporated our VDSTM technology and provided the user with an input voltage range of +18 to + 36 VDC. Follow on orders are expected in 2014.

Triad RF ships the first batch of Ku-Band video terminal amplifiers

Triad RF ships the first batch of Ku-Band amplifiers for remote video terminals used for high performance surveillance systems. The TA1032 is the latest amplifier that met or exceeded the customer’s specifications. With 2W of RF output power, this unit incorporated automatic gain control (AGC) with 20 dB of dynamic range, a miniature version of our VDSTM technology allowing the unit to work from +12 to +28 VDC, and was twice as efficient as the competition. These units also went through rigorous environmental tests that met MIL-STD-883.

The balance of the order is to ship before the end of Q2.
